Yes, there is a Montgomery Ward! (in the church)
Yes, there is a Montgomery Ward, in the Cincinnati East Stake.
Interestingly, the Montgomery Alabama Stake does not have a Montgomery Ward.
Montgomery Ward (the business) was the first mail-order catalog, and grew into a national chain of department stores. The stores are now closed, but the online and mail-order operation is still in business.

At least eighteen years ago, the Montgomery Alabama stake did have a Montgomery Ward. It was one of the closest wards I ever had the fortune to attend. I was taking extended training at nearby Maxwell Air Force Base, and my wife and I look back fondly on those few months we were there. At the time it was relatively small, and met in a strip mall. We thought it funny that the Montgomery Ward met in a mall. It had a wide demographic range, from well-educated white businessmen to several poor black families. One of these matriarchs wore a nightgown to church, since it was the closest to a dress she could afford. I had one of the most spiritual experiences of my life while attending that ward--the Spirit was so strong, all I could do was cry.
A few years later, the Church built a large, beautiful brick building that now houses the stake. When I last visited, many of the members we remembered were still there, but it wasn't quite the same. It was now comfortably middle class, and nearly devoid of minority faces. I was glad to see the success and growth, but missed the character the smaller unit had.
