They do read the bloggernacle at LDS church headquarters.

I think it is great. Find yourself a wife and I bet they will make you a mission president soon. BTW I was much older when I got married. You are the best missionary I have ever seen. Your passion for helping others is to be commended. Honestly no kidding aside you are an exceptional person who shares.

They peruse my wife's blog all the time. I keep waiting for her to get called in since she takes on diverse issues.

Bookslinger, there *is* indeed evidence that people at Church HQ do read the bloggernacle, but not every instance of an ldschurch IP is such evidence -- you get the same IP when a patron at the Family History Library checks her email or his favorite blog using one of the catalog computers. In this particular case, that is probably what happened since it's unlikely someone at Church HQ would need to google the Swedish Mission Office phone number, which your visitor also did.

You're right, the church-owned IP block is shared among many classes of users.

One interesting thing is to see how people in different cities use the same search engine query within a couple hours of each other. It's as if one person discovers something, and then emails their friend to check it out.

Or how an old page from the archives is accessed by two people within hours or minutes of each other, and the 2nd person's access doesn't have a referral page, as if it was clicked on from within their email program.

I also have to admit that I've tweaked some things for search engine ranking. I sometimes see that people are clicking on my listing in the 4th page or further down in a search result. So I then try to work those search terms in my pages to get a higher ranking.

My funniest (or weirdest, not really humorous) referral was when someone was looking for a "BOM" making guide in Urdu.
